There are opposing views on the value of patent protection. First, a comment on what patent protection is:

  • Your Patent will only give you the right to SUE entities infringing your Patent at some time in the future.
  • Your Patent may have cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars, or more.
  • It will cost you many times this to sue for breach of IP and then you'll probably lose if the entity infringing is a large organisation.
